The Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro is reportedly a victim of the deadly coronavirus.
The President of Brazil had had a time with the President of the United States of America about six days back. Jair came out positive to the coronavirus following a test.
A popular publication in Brazil, Top Rio de Janeiro newspaper, O Dia, reported that the that president Bolsonaro’s test has turned positive to the dreaded virus.
And this report follows days after Bolsonaro’s press secretary, Fabio Wajngarten came out positive to the virus, just after their trip to the United States to be part of a meeting.
Bolsonaro’s son, Eduardo Bolsonaro, who is a congressman was equally present on the trip.
The United States first citizen hosted a dinner after the meeting, where Mr. Bolsonaro. His aide, Mr. Wajngarten were present. They further stopped by Kimberly Guilfoyle’s birthday party. Kimberly is adviser to Mr. Trump’s re-election campaign and the girlfriend of his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.
According to New York’s Times, Donald Trump was also present at Kimberly’s party.
Bolsonaro’s aide, Mr. Wajngarten, received a positive turn out on the virus after developing symptoms showing it in Sao Paulo.
Well, the US President revealed dazzled reporters after he was asked about it that same day, and even had the White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, talk down over the level of exposure of the US President.
Donald Trump said in an interview, “I am not concerned.”
Stephanie Grisham revealed in a statement on Thursday;
“Both the president and vice president had almost no interactions with the individual who tested positive and do not require being tested at this time.”
She also added that both Mr Pence or Mr Trump have no intentions of undergoing self-quarantine as a precautionary measure.
In her words, she added;
“There is currently no indication to test patients without symptoms, and only people with prolonged close exposure to confirmed positive cases should self-quarantine. Exposures from the case are being assessed, which will dictate next steps.”
The US President has made further move to suspend all flights to the US coming from Europe for the next 30 days. Exceptions are Ireland and UK.
The United States have confirmed cases of over 1,200. Cases around the world has increased to over 118,000 with about 4,290 deaths.
