A brief animation video is being published by The People’s Republic of China, and it is titled, “Once Upon a Virus”. The video particularly mocks President Donald Trump and the United States’ as a whole at their response towards the Covid-19 pandemic.
China’s animated video used symbols to represent the two countries and it found its way to the internet through the Chinese controlled Xinhua news agency. The now-viral video comes just days after Trump levied continuous allegations against China of trying to help his opposition candidate win the forthcoming presidential elections in the United States by giving false impressions about the state of Coronavirus in their country until it became a pandemic.
A recent record reveals that over 60, 000 Americans have already lost their lives to the novel coronavirus. And Donald Trump had recently said that he was very sure that the deadly virus originated from a Chinese virology lab. He, however, didn’t give evidence.
In the animation video, red curtains unveil a stage that features Lego-like images appearing like a terracotta warrior wearing a face mask and the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty obviously represents the United States.
A conversation ensued as depicted in the video;
“We discovered a new virus,” says the warrior.
“So what?” replies the Statue of Liberty. ‘It’s only a flu.”
When the warrior sent out forewarnings over the virus and about the milestones in China’s outbreak. The Statue of Liberty which represents the United States, replies with a dismissive attitude and echoes of Trump’s press conferences in which he played down the disease.
“Are you listening to yourselves?” the warrior enquired while the statue starts to turn red with the fever and age hooked up to an intravenous drip.
“We are always correct, even though we contradict ourselves,” the statue replies.
“That’s what I love about you Americans, your consistency,” says the warrior.
