Celeb figures Jay-Z and Rihanna have had their foundations support relief donations towards the tough coronavirus conditions by giving out $1million each.
The foundations are revealed to be offering daycare, food, learning materials and supplies for young children of healthcare first responders and workers who are on the frontline of combating the spread of the pandemic.
They dish out materials for learning to children and youths numbering over 20, 000 who are learning in shelters and virtual mental health support for parents. They ensure cleanliness of child-care and protection of all personnel.
Justine Lucas, executive director of the Clara Lionel Foundation revealed;
“There are a number of populations who are especially vulnerable during this pandemic — those who are undocumented, incarcerated, elderly and homeless, as well as children of frontline health workers and first responders,”
Justine added that organizations need to be well supported more than ever. The rights of individuals shouldn’t be left unguided too.According to Gloria Carter, CEO, and co-founder of the Shawn Carter Foundation:
“In times of crisis it is imperative that we come together as one community to ensure that everyone, especially the most vulnerable, has access to critical needs: shelter, health, nutrition, and education. The only way to get through this pandemic is with love and action.”
