Every Good Thing Must Come To An End

Poems & Creative stories
 Every good thing
Must come to an end
I mended my native heart
With those words
My heart do not fit the world it inhabited.

I had not lived ten years,
Yet I saw, that every good thing
Drives to a dead end.

So, before I was grown
Or cared about idioms
I learnt that a good offence
Is the best defense.
If I told a good thing from the start;
Newborn, you are mortal.

Then, when it gave up
The ghost..
 It'll live to spare mine.
