Gayle King is being badly dragged by viewers after she brought up rape case issue against late legendary NBA player, Kobe Bryant while having WNBA player, Lisa Leslie.
Gayle King asked Lisa Leslie;
“It’s been said that his legacy is complicated because of a sexual assault charge which was dismissed in 2003, 2004. Is it complicated for you, as a woman, as a WNBA player?”
Leslie responded saying that it isn’t complicated at all. She further said that while many male basketball players tried getting her to do the wing-man for them, Kobe was kind of different. She added;
“Kobe, he was never like that. I just never see—I have ever seen him being the kind of person that would do something to violate a woman or be aggressive in that way. That’s just not the person that I know,” she told King.
Gayle King sparked off even more outrage when she added that Leslie may have been too close to see that side of Kobe.
“And that’s possible. I just don’t believe that, and I’m not saying things didn’t happen. I just don’t believe that things didn’t happen with force.” Leslie responded.
But Kobe’s lovers and fans are not taking it cool on King for asking such sensitive question just after his passing. Gayle King has been continually roasted on social media.
