Hayes, 19, has had a lip chopped off by her violent boyfriend. She eventually and bravely opened up with hopes she’d inspire others to seek help if they are victims of domestic violence.
Trouble started after Hayes revealed to her abusive 23-year-old boyfriend, Seth Aaron Fleury that she was determined to put an end to their relationship.
Seth is accused of abusing his girlfriend almost every single day for the period their relationship lasted.
Hayes is still healing from the physical and mental injuries inflicted on her by her boyfriend on October 21, 2017. Kayla’s lip were gruesomely bit off by the boyfriend.
The boyfriend who admitted to the court that Kayla refused to kiss him after telling him she did not want to continue with the heated relationship, and took the grave act on Hayes accusing her of cheating on him.
Hayes wrote on a Facebook post:
“This was the day that a piece of me died.
Sitting in a puddle of my own blood with the majority of my lip laying on my leg, my whole mouth on fire, confused and terrified, I didn’t know how I could ever show my face again. At that point, wishing that those very seconds would just be my last— I wanted to give up for good.”
Seth pleaded guilty to the assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He was hence slammed with a 12-year jail sentence.
