Mel B has expressed her unending love for ex-boyfriend, Eddie Murphy in recent interview with Daily mail.
She talked about her regret over splitting from him.
Mel, 43 detailed during the interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, how she met Eddie, 58, their relationship and the turbulence.
Mel was marred with Eddie questioning the paternity of their unplanned pregnancy, but insisted he was her ‘soulmate’.
Daily mail quotes her interview obtained by The Mirror, in which said:
‘We had something special that I’ve never really truly felt with anybody else.
I’ve thought I’ve had it, but they’ve lied. His was pure. He is the love of my life. He always will be.
He showed me what true love feels like, and for that I have the utmost admiration and respect for him.’
Mel revealed she first met Eddie at a party at his Beverly Hills mansion in 2006.
According to her, the comic actor had planned a ‘massive dinner party’ to meet her.
When the pair first locked eyes on each other across the room, Mel said she ‘freaked out’ because he gazed at her with such familiarity she could ‘see my soulmate’.
They quickly began plans over tying the knot just within few months of dating.
Mel revealed that their relationship began a sour journey after she got pregnant with her daughter Angel, who is now 12.
She had fled to Leeds in the hope Eddie would follow her to win her back.
But no. The actor got into an interview with a journalist and he questioned if he was indeed the father of Mel’s unborn baby. He also revealed he would need a paternity test to verify.
Mel said
“Eddie ‘regrets’ saying it to this day. We had ‘planned that baby together and we were madly in love’ but it just went ‘dramatically wrong’.”
The lovebirds had their relationship hit the rocks in December, 2006.
When baby daughter, Angel was born in Aprilof the following year, Eddie was already engaged to film producer Tracey Edmonds.
He was later proved to be Angel’s father.
