Rapper Nicki Minaj created a scene on her social media handles earlier this month after she announced that she was retiring from the music industry. She revealed that she was focusing on building a family, hence was retiring from the music industry.
Minaj had returned to her social media platforms to tender apology to her fans over her sudden revelation. Many, including Queen Latifah, have aired their opinion of the situation.
Queen Latifah supported Minaj’s decision to focus on her personal life but noted that once you’re a rapper, you’ll always have a hunger for the art form.
Queen Latifah said while speaking to cameramen who asked her for her thoughts over Minaj’s decision, “Minaj must be in love and happy, let her live, she’s been grinding for a long time.”
Nicki Minaj has, however, promised that she would discuss her decision deeply on her Queen Radio platform soon.
She tweeted:
“I’m still right here. Still madly in love with you guys & you know that,”
Nicki continued:
“In hindsight, this should’ve been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be. I promise u guys will be happy. No guests, just us talking about everything. The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize babe.”
