Aside music, 31-year-old American singer, Rihanna is also known to be a businesswoman who deals with fashion and beauty stuff.
Forbes’ new yearly list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women for 2019 has singer Rihanna standing out head-tall as the highest-paid woman in the music industry. Her worth is estimated to be a whopping $600 million.
Forbes related Rihanna’s wealth acquisition to her partnerships with LVMH, a luxury company she launched her beauty cosmetics, Fenty Beauty Cosmetics with two years back (2017).
Fenty Beauty Cosmetics is said to have raked in $570 million to the mogul within fifteen months of running. Rihanna expanded her expertise into fashion, forming Savage x Fenty lingerie brand with Tech Style Fashion Group.
The music icon who started her foray recently into high-end clothing with Fenty with LVMH had this to say;
“They extended the offer to me and it was a no-brainer because LVMH is a machine,”
Speaking with The New York Times Style Magazine Rihanna revealed about her clothing line launched on May 22;
“Bernard Arnault was so enthusiastic; he trusted me and my vision.”
The clothing line is potentially projected to increase Rihanna’s income.
Rihanna’s position on Forbes’ list puts her over several of her peers within the music industry.
Legendary singer, Celine Dion ($450 million) ranked behind her. And rapper Jayz’s wife, Beyoncé’s wealth was put at $400 million. Taylor Swift – $360 million) were in the top richest five women in the industry.
