Singer Pink Revealed She Tested Positive To COVID-19, Lashed At The US Government For Not Making Testing Accessible

American superstar singer, Pink has revealed on an Instagram post that her recent diagnosis came out positive to COVID-19. She however lashed at the US Government for not making testing available to many. The post was shared on her account on Friday night.

Pink said that she and her 3-year-old son, Jameson had showed symptoms of the deadly virus before testing positive after undergoing tests two weeks ago. She claimed to have however beaten the virus after turning out negative on another recent test.

Pink wrote;

“Two weeks ago my three-year-old son, Jameson, and I were showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor. Just a few days ago, we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative.”

She also went out slamming the US government for not being proactive in making necessary testing for Coronavirus symptoms available. She pointed out the frustrations health workers are subjected to over limited testing capacity.

In her words, Pink referred to testing as “absolute travesty.” She went on to say that it is failure on the part of government for not making testing available and widely accessible as supposed.


She added;


“This illness is serious and real. People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities.”

40-year-old Pink who is mother to two kids made a financial donation of $1million towards the support of health workers who are on the frontline fighting against the spread deadly virus.

The singer wrote;

“I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center. Additionally, I am donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund. THANK YOU to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones. You are our heroes! These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home. Please. Stay. Home.”
