A Transgender woman named Muhlaysia Booker, who was recently brutally beaten had been fatally shot dead.
Booker was last month in a scene with crowd which stood by and cheered in an attack caught on video that went viral.
Police has however confirmed her death in the east Dallas early Saturday morning after she was found fatally shot.
It was reported by CBS Dallas that Police had responded to a shooting call at around 6:40 a.m. near the Tenison Park Golf Course. She thereafter was found dead from a gunshot wound.
Police confirmed the identity of the woman as Booker and said they didn’t have any suspects.
The victim had been attacked outside an apartment complex last month after a minor traffic accident.
Police arrested one Edward Thomas in relation to the crime.
Edward was charged with aggravated assault.
Police revealed on Sunday that they are yet to build any connection between Booker’s death and the assault.
