Anthony Joshua Boasts About Crushing Deontay Wilder In A Jiffy!

Celebrity Gossip And Humour

Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder fight is predictably going to be one of the very big fights to happen in 2020. Well, that’s if it happens, as Wilder already is tied with two fights with Tyson Fury on line and Anthony Joshua has two mandatories too. Observers, however, wouldn’t stop talking about the possible outcome if the two match-up.

Wilder was in the ring with Luis Ortiz and Dominic Breazeale in 2019, with both fights ending in KOs. Anthony Joshua has kept track of the show and aired his own view.

AJ believes a fight with Deontay Wilder will not go past the 7th round. And he boasts about it.

It would be well recalled that Joshua had reclaimed his WBA, WBO and IBF belts after scoring unanimous points of victory against Andy Ruiz. AJ believes he has better chances against the acclaimed heavyweight baddest guy, Wilder, who has had ninety-seven per cent knockout rate.

If the Wilder-Tyson Fury’s rematch comes out well in February, then Anthony Joshua vs Wilder fight would very likely occur this year.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Joshua spoke on Wilder’s win over Ortiz. He said:

“He wouldn’t be there to do that in the seventh round. I would go in to knock him out. It’s heavyweight against a heavyweight, champion against champion. This is a serious fight, so I ain’t going to go in there to try and outbox him for 12 rounds, because of his punching power as well. I’ve got to go in there and take him out. Don’t let him get too comfortable in the ring with me.”

Flaunting his wins and belts, Joshua said that he has been able to acquire 4 belts in just 24 fights as against Wilder’s 42 fights but just one belt.

“We’ve done it, we’ve unified it, in the space of 24 odd fights. He’s had 42 odd fights. How come he hasn’t managed to unify the division yet? If he’s looking for it, we’re the ones to do it with, and we’re not hard to find. We’ve got a great team behind us, so reach out.

Joshua continued in his boasts:

“Even though there are two at the minute, I’ll let the people decide who they think is the real heavyweight champion right now. I always say, we’re in the same division, the same era, that fight has to happen.

“We just put on an amazing event. We’re going to do another amazing event god willing in the new year. He can come and be part of history. We’re trying to achieve big things in boxing and to add Wilder to my list would be an honour,” Joshua told Sky Sports.
