John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen are being consoled after they suffered the shocking loss of their third child. The model broke the news on Instagram.
Teigen wrote on her social media page:
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
She also shared from her hospital bed that she and her hubby do not decide their baby names until the last minutes. She said, “..after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital.”
The model looked obviously devasted from the photos she shared while still on the hospital bed. She wept uncontrollably.
She however added that they had started calling the child Jack before the tragic experience. She wrote:
“But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
On Twitter, Teigen wrote, “Driving home from the hospital with no baby. How can this be real.”
Condolences rolled in for the couple in the comment thread of the post. We pray they find the strength to carry on.
