Uncontested heavyweight boxing champ, Mike Tyson’s selection of throwback photos has a complete dose of nostalgia to make your day.
Tyson at 20, already cemented his name in the hearts of many after earning the WBC, WBA and IBF titles in the 80s. He had numerous endorsements to his name, lucrative championships and juicy and attractive magazine covers.
But as retirement neared, Mike Tyson’s fortune took a different turn. From suffering a prison sentence to going financially bankrupt. In fact, Mike Tyson once admitted that he finds it difficult to recognize the man who had often graced covers of Sports Illustrated.
Speaking of his younger self, Mike Tyson said;
“Don’t even remember that person,”
Well, quickly correcting the notion that he has had an entirely crashed adult life, Tyson said as his role as a family man, being married for the third time, “I’m so happy. This is a different kind of living for me,”
The legendary boxing Champ added;
“I’m used to being a bachelor. Even when I was married before, I would have a house here, and there would be a house in D.C. or New York. The fact that I have a family base, my father-in-law comes in, my kids run up and down, this is their playroom. They come in to me and my wife’s room. This is my life now.”
Tyson also boasted of his life working even though it is ‘complicated as hell’
In his words; ‘[My life now] works. It’s complicated as hell, but it works.”
Tyson did a few uploads on his Instagram to share throwbacks of his feat and stunning self as a young Champion. This is in celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the heavyweight title victory he had against Trevor Berbick.
