A 1939 original Marvel comic is up for a whopping $1.26million! The sale went up with the comic book traded a no. 1 edition at the Heritage Auctions.
Ed Jaster, the senior Vice President of the Heritage Auctions revealed in a statement;
“Without question, this is the granddaddy of all Marvel comics, without which we would not have the characters and stories we enjoy in today’s comics and feature films.”
The viral comic book which went on sale received a 9.4 rating out of a total of 10. And this was presented by Certified Guaranty Company. Two more copies where given close rating of 9.0 or higher.
The comic book is said to originally be the property of a mailman who is a Pennsylvania collector. The comic book has also broken diverse records which also includes most pricey Marvel comic ever sold.
