Celebrity Gossip And Humour Gists

Princes William and Harry are set to walk behind the coffin of their late grandfather, prince Philip when they grace the funeral ceremony this coming week.

The Princes would be walking together as a part of the royal procession while the funeral service is ongoing for the Duke of Edinburgh in Windsor on Saturday, 17th April, 2021, making it the very first duo-appearance of the pair since the bombshell interview of Meghan and Harry with Oprah Winfrey. Harry had claimed that his elder brother is ‘trapped’ in the Monarchy.

According to an insider who spoke with the Mail, the Royal Family are ‘united in grief’ since the passing of the nonagenarian Prince. But the pregnant Duchess of Sussex is not expected to be part of the occasion as a result of a medical advice.

Harry, 36, will be back in the United Kingdom this morning since moving out to relocate to the United States last year. Reports have it that the brothers have not made physical eye contact since 2019 autumn.

Sources reveal that the late Duke of Edinburgh became heartbroken by the discord and urged the parties to do away with their differences because of the Queen.

A source who spoke with the Mail said that ‘All eyes will be on William and Harry at the funeral.

The source added that ‘this is the first time we’re going to see them together since Harry and Meghan left for their new life in America. There has been so much bad blood but everyone is hoping that, perhaps, this will mark the beginning of a reconciliation.’

Hopes are high despite increasing tensions that the occasion would create an opening for relief.

The brothers will walk behind the Land Rover as it moves to St George’s Chapel and Prince Charles on a side too. The Land Rover will be flanked Royal Marines pallbearers, Air Stations, Corps, and Regiments.

“They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Everyone will be watching the funeral closely to see the body language between the brothers.” The Insider added.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had taken to their website to post a tribute in respect to the late prince. It reads: “In loving memory of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021

“Thank you for your service… You will be greatly missed.”

The Duke of Edinburgh had been admitted for sometime in a hospital and passed on just weeks after being discharged. He died on Friday morning, 9th April, at Windsor Castle. He would be buried on next Saturday with at least 30 members of the Royal family in attendance.
