Aliyu Snowball and his wealthy otherside

Gists Our Uncoordinated Creatives

Aliyu Snowball was a model of penury. Everything you can ever think of in an extremely poor person are things you will find littered in the life of this young bloke.

Aliyu had no home, no money, no wife, no children and nothing whatsoever to call his own. He fed largely from crumbs at parties, restaurants, and disposed edibles in nearby wastes. On rare occasions, he was able to gather proceeds of alms he received to give himself a fair treat. Life was really sickening.

Aliyu Snowball took courage up to his Maker and nag how life has been unfair to him and how he has finally decided to end it all. But his Maker told him he doesn’t kill, and he would have to meet death.

He met a witch who introduced him to death. After relaying his ordeal, again, death told him he doesn’t kill and that MOST people die from their own actions. But death promised him something. He promised to make him affluent. He promised him every good thing his heart ever desire to have; money, love family, fame. Aliyu was indeed happy with a mixture of shock.

He had always thought death kills, but here he is being ironically blessed with life by the same dreaded killer. Snowball’s wish to die faded quickly. He had money, love, family and fame.

Six years down the line, Aliyu Snowball had become extremely wealthy. He had a beautiful family to complement everything he possessed. His story was an enviable one. He had friends everywhere in the world. He found himself in a clique of the world’s richest.

Countless houses were in his name. Multiple businesses needed his accent to thrive. Cars were in fleets. He lived in one of the best houses. And then he decided to build another gigantic one.

Upon completion of the house, Aliyu decided to throw a house warming party before finally moving in. A day to the ceremony, he decided to take a tour around the mighty edifice. He extended his tour around the neighbourhood to ‘pepper’ people around with his assets. Hehehe…looks like he forgot where he was coming from.

He had a white horse which was worth $4m. This beautiful and expensive creature was a good beat to do a good tour in a neighbourhood as his. He had an entourage also to complement this mission.

While on this tour, Aliyu Snowball on one occasion made effort to get himself on the white horse. Then…

He missed his step, slipped and hit his head hard against a stone. In a millisecond, death appeared again to him and reminded him how he told him he doesn’t kill people, but that MOST men die from their own actions and choices. Especially when they cannot discipline themselves and curtail the blessings they’ve received.

Aliyu Snowball died shortly after.

Most times, poverty isn’t the problem of many but bad choices. The battles bedeviling most people is in them.
