My prayer ‘ve just refused to say
that was what I dreamt and saw.
the stolen and the given heart.
What shall I give my love?
gesturing the lonely night.
perhaps the trees also thinking for me.
with their heads waving to guess, I guess.
What shall I give my love?
Who’ve thread my paths,
Handling me the word,
Rapped in an unseen gold.
The word. the greatest mandate.
Which I saw and believed.
I saw it given, my love.
If I were a shepherd, I would ‘ve offered of my sheep.
If I were a Trader, I would ‘ve offered my goods
If I were a preacher, I would ‘ve offered the word.
‘cos I know if she knew I fret for what to offer,
She would ‘ve offered me all.
Nevertheless, what I can give, I’ll give.
And to give, I’ll give freely.
And freely shall I give you my love.
‘LOVE’
